Chapter History

The Golden Key Chapter at Utah State University was chartered in May 1986 as part of  U.S. Region 6. This region includes schools in Colorado, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Utah, and Wyoming. The Utah State University Golden Key Chapter believes in excellence and strives to provide the best environment for guiding our Golden Key members to succeed through academics, leadership, and service.

With more than 5,300 members since 1986, the USU Golden Key chapter is a large one and our members have gone on to do great things in their lives. Honorary members include Utah State’s President Stan Albrecht, Val R. Christensen, and Merle Olsen. Our chapter has been very focused on service; we organized and helped provide individual help for high school students at Logan High School. The Chapter has currently achieved Gold Standing as well as received the Community Service Award at the most recent Golden Key International Conference in July 2010. We welcome prospective members who are in the top 15% of their class and interested in service and leadership development.
